RISMEDIA, April 3, 2009-Steve Rodgers’ personal journey was especially topical when he was asked to speak at the 2009 Executive Coaching Conference recently held in New York City. The internationally acclaimed Conference Board has offered trusted insight and economic forecasts to businesses worldwide for over 90 years.
How many “C” level executives could possibly understand the significance of today’s economic challenges better than Steve Rodgers? It is not a secret that the former president and CEO of Prudential California Realty personally experienced those challenges when he himself was “let go” in late December.
However it didn’t take long for the Southern California real estate leader to land back on his feet less than three months later. His experience in the industry along with his ability to coach agents helped him expand Prudential in previous years, and will help him grow in his new home as president of Windermere Exclusive Properties.
As a key-note speaker at the conference, Rodgers discussed the importance of both coaching and leading, especially in these difficult economic times. “Presenting a clear vision to those around you is always the key element to leading a successful practice, apart from the industry, “noted Rodgers. “With regards to the real estate market, a clear vision will help individual agents understand the goals of the agency and will motivate agents to grow alongside the company.”
One of Steve Rodgers’ greatest strengths as a leader has always been his ability to get to the core of what really drives people to their passion. His presentation at the conference was no different as he inspired all in attendance to find and cultivate what it is that forces each of us to want to be successful.
“The opportunity to speak at the Executive Coaching Conference was an honor. The focus of my presentation was people. I’m passionate about people. I love helping people find what it is that inspires them to want to be successful or to want to be a leader in their industry. I’m passionate because passion and vision are the keys to success. My business vision has changed in recent months, but never has my passion for the industry changed, which is the key to my success,” said Steve Rodgers, newly named president of Windermere Exclusive Properties.
