RISMEDIA, September 29, 2009—Zillow.com and Seattle-based Windermere Real Estate, which has more than 30,000 for-sale listings nationwide, announced a partnership which enables Windermere to automatically feed all of their listings to Zillow.com on a regular basis. Zillow is one of the most-visited U.S. real estate websites, with 8.8 million unique users in August 2009, an increase of 64% year-over-year, the company reports. The syndication of Windermere Real Estate’s for-sale listings to Zillow will improve the real estate search experience for Zillow users, 37% of whom come to the site each month from the 10 Western states where Windermere operates.
Windermere joins the hundreds of partners participating in the Zillow Listings Feed program, which launched in November 2007 and has grown to more than 3.7 million for-sale listings. The program allows listing providers to automatically gain free marketing exposure for their listings on one of the most-visited real estate sites in the country, while providing Zillow’s users with a more robust search experience, according to the company.
“Zillow is thrilled to team up with Windermere Real Estate, a well-respected and prestigious brokerage headquartered in our own backyard of Seattle,” said Spencer Rascoff, Zillow’s chief operating officer. “With more than 30,000 for-sale listings in key markets throughout the West, this partnership will be extremely beneficial to our millions of users nationwide.”
Jan Edmondson, Windermere Chief Marketing Officer, adds, “We constantly look for ways to maximize marketing exposure for our associates and listings. The Zillow Listings Feed program offers a tremendous marketing opportunity for our agents and their sellers. By syndicating our listings to Zillow, we are able to expose our clients to Zillow’s audience of more than 8 million visitors each month.”
