RISMEDIA, May 27, 2010—Helen Hanna Casey, President of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, has been named Chairwoman of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce and to the Executive Committee of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development.
“Helen brings to the position her understanding of the policy environment in Pennsylvania, her business acumen and her relationships with leaders of large, middle market and small businesses from throughout our region,” said John Surma, President of U.S. Steel and Allegheny Conference Chairman.
Terrence J. Murphy, the Chamber’s former chairman, resigned from the Conference Board as he accepted a position as a government affairs counselor in the public policy and law practice at K & L Gates, LLP, one of Pittsburgh’s largest law firms.
In addition to her Chamber of Commerce chair position, Helen Hanna Casey was recently named one of the Pittsburgh Business Time’s Top 25 Businesswomen and one of Inman News 100 Most Influential People. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the West Penn Multi-List and on the National Association of REALTORS® Executive Committee and Real Estate Services Advisory Board.
