RISMEDIA, February 8, 2010—Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty has announced that Nicholas Germak has been named vice president of the company’s newly formed Northern Westchester/Putnam regional territory.
Prior to joining Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty, Germak served as vice president, senior vice president and executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Westchester County and Connecticut.
“Our strategic plan to expand throughout Northern Westchester and Putnam requires a driving force with senior-level experience and talent, and that force is Nick,” said Greg Rand, managing partner of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty. “We are incredibly excited to have him on our leadership team.”
During his tenure at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage from 1997 to 2007, Germak was chiefly responsible for the dramatic growth of that company, acquiring six new offices in Westchester–Rye, Larchmont, Scarsdale, Dobbs Ferry, Croton-on-Hudson, and New Rochelle–to increase the total number of offices in his region to 40.
“I’m extremely excited to be part of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty,” said Germak. “What sets the Rand family apart is their passion and vision to grow the company and enhance their position as the top real estate brokerage in the Hudson Valley. To have the opportunity to use my skills and relationships to help the company expand is very special.”
Germak will also be branch manager for BH&G Rand Realty’s Yorktown office, which will serve as a flagship office and the company’s hub for the new region.
“Nick Germak has a proven track record in the real estate market of northern Westchester and Putnam counties,” said Matt Rand, managing partner of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty. “His extensive experience in the region will be a tremendous asset in helping establish Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty as the leading brokerage in this market.”
