RISMEDIA, April 20, 2011—Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, announced that Mike Good, the brand’s chief executive officer, was honored with an “Outstanding American” award by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
The annual award honors a former wrestler who credits the lessons learned in the sport with helping achieve great career success. A two-time collegiate All-American and three-time conference champion at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Good led his high school team to their first state championship in his hometown of Fridley, Minn. He will be recognized with a permanent plaque at The National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Okla.
“Mike Good has built outstanding careers in coaching and real estate through hard work, dedication and an innate sense of leadership, and he truly is an outstanding American,” said Richard A. Smith, president and chief executive officer, Realogy Corporation. “After his career as a wrestling coach, educator and mentor for many young people, he became a seasoned real estate industry veteran who has been a driving force in bringing more than 190 quality firms, representing about 550 offices worldwide, to join the Sotheby’s International Realty network.”
Good has served as chief executive officer, Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, since February 2004. From 1997 to 2004, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of NRT LLC, one of the largest residential real estate brokerage firms in the United States.
“I am very humbled by this honor,” said Good. “Wrestling provided me with a solid foundation of discipline and goal-setting that has served me well in my personal life and my professional career.”
