RISMEDIA, May 25, 2011–Re/Max 440 and Re/Max Central are pleased to announce that Broker and Co-Owner Tom Skiffington was awarded the “Bucks County Community Service Award” by the Bucks County Council, Boy Scouts of America for his leadership, commitment and contributions to the community; and as a role model for the 11,000 young men & women who are served through Scouting and “Learning for Life” programs in Bucks County.
The presentation took place at the Pine Crest County Club on May 16 with many community leaders in attendance as well as State Representative Marguerite Quinn from the 143rd District and Representative Paul Clymer from the 145th District.
Skiffington has a long list of accomplishments both professional and civic to his credit. They include 2008 President of the Bucks County Association of REALTORS®, Director at the National Association of REALTORS®, presently serving as a Director of the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®. Skiffington has also served on or chaired various committees over the years at the Bucks County Association of REALTORS®, the Lehigh Valley Association of REALTORS® and the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS®.
In addition to his professional ventures, Skiffington is involved in the community holding multiple positions at the Pennridge Chamber of Commerce including serving as President; Board of Directors Bucks County Community College, President of Pennridge Day, Pennridge School District Advisory Committee, Pennridge Education Foundation Board, Information Committee for Grandview Hospital, Task Force for Bucks County Government for Housing Programs, Board of Directors of various Condo Associations, on various committees for children who need assistance for bone marrow transplant and MS disease and is an active member of the Pennridge Rotary Club.
