The industry’s leading residential real estate firms are quickly responding to RISMedia’s 24th Annual Power Broker Survey, reporting strong numbers for 2011 despite a challenging economic landscape.
As the preeminent ranking of the industry’s top residential real estate brokerages, RISMedia’s Power Broker Survey is responsible for revealing real estate’s “who’s who.” Brokers must complete the survey by February 24, 2012 in order to be considered for inclusion in RISMedia’s 24th Annual Power Broker Report, a preview of which appears in the April issue of Real Estate magazine.
Inclusion in RISMedia’s Power Broker ranking has long served as an elite distinction for real estate firms, a distinction of the utmost importance in today’s real estate market, according to RISMedia President & CEO John Featherston.

Survey Criteria
Distributed through RISMedia’s multimedia information-delivery channels, the Power Broker Report is read by more than 300,000 real estate professionals and thousands of leading corporate relocation decision makers. The report is also accessible to millions of interested consumers.
To complete the survey, firms must have completed a minimum of 500 transactions in 2011. Brokerages participating in this year’s survey should note that to avoid duplication and potential confusion, the Power Broker Survey should be completed by an individual, shareholder or entity with a minimum 50.1% ownership interest inclusive of subsidiaries. All sales and transaction volume comes directly from brokerages and is verified and substantiated by external sources, in most cases accounting firms, prior to publication.
