RISMEDIA, September 27, 2013–SENA (which stands for Stopping Euthanasia, Neglect, and Abuse) is holding their first, annual “5K Rescue Run/Walk” on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at NTC Park, at beautiful Liberty Station located in Point Loma. Real Living Lifestyles is proud to sponsor such an honorable event supporting a local charity. You, your family, friends and furry loved ones are invited to spend the day spreading awareness for animal cruelty and recognizing an organization that cares about homeless and at-risk animals in our community.
SENA is an organization that is helping cats, dogs and horses to stay alive and out of cages. Their mission is to stop euthanasia, neglect and abuse of animals, to save as many animal lives as they can and to make sure animal owners know the consequences of neglecting the precious life that they have in their care.
Looking into 2013, SENA’s goals are to have sanitary, condominium-style living for rescued animals. Currently, they are seeking 30+ acres of land to build facilities to accommodate all the animals regardless of health, breed, or age. Visit www.senarescue.org for a more detailed explanation of what is ahead in 2014.
Inviting family and friends to this event is a great way to create awareness, and there are other numerous ways that members of the community can get involved in helping this organization and animals. SENA is always accepting donations, as well as volunteers, for their mission to build facilities to provide homeless animals with comfortable condominium-style living.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, every eight seconds an animal is being euthanized due to over population, about four million dogs and cats a year. SENA’s mission is to stop this from happening. Tragically 70 percent of cats and 60 percent of dogs are euthanized, but with proper care and veterinary or behavioral treatment 90 percent of these animals are adoptable.
Real Living Lifestyles Administrative Team members Kristen Ostroman and Marcia Macbeth both sit on the Board of Directors at SENA. “We are excited to be working with SENA in their important efforts to take care of the animals that depend on us for so much and who in turn, give so much back to us,” they said.
Real Living Lifestyles has chosen to align their company with this organization because they truly believe in their cause. Join our team in taking a stand against animal cruelty and sign up today at www.senaevents.com.
