RISMEDIA, July 29, 2014–CENTURY 21 New Millennium has announced its support of Scott Becker, Executive Vice President of NM Management, and Branch Leader of New Millennium’s Capitol Hill branch as he embarks on this year’s “Climb for Kids,” with fundraising on behalf of Easter Seals.
Scott joins a team of climbers led by CENTURY 21’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Rick Davidson. While CENTURY 21 Real Estate, LLC is not an official sponsor of the “Climb for Kids,” Davidson, who also serves as Chairperson of Easter Seals’ International Board of Directors, will lead the team on a trek up, and down, Mount Elbrus, the tallest mountain in Europe and one of the world’s Seven Summits.
“On behalf of everyone at New Millennium, we wish Rick, Scott and the entire CENTURY 21 team of climbers the best of luck on their expedition,” said Todd Hetherington, co-owner and CEO of CENTURY 21 New Millennium. “We are so proud of Scott and his ongoing efforts to raise money for such a worthy organization,” added Mary Lynn Stone, co-owner and President of CENTURY 21 New Millennium.
This is Scott’s third Climb for Kids journey. In 2011, he was a member of the five-person team, whose journey began in Anchorage, then headed north to Talkeetna and ascended to the summits of Mt. Eldridge and Explorers Peak. In 2012, Scott joined seven other adventurers to summit two Mexican volcanoes, Pico de Orizaba and Iztaccíhuatl. This year’s Climb for Kids journey will begin base camp on Mount Elbrus, where the team will tackle an elevation of 18,510 feet (5,642 meters). Part of the Causcasus Range that straddles Asia and Europe, Elbrus is the tallest mountain in Europe and one of the Seven Summits, the highest mountains in each of the continents.
Scott has set a goal of raising $40,000 for this year’s climb. If you would like to support Scott by making a donation or signing his guest book, please visit his New Millennium Climb for Easter Seals fundraising page.
