Best piece of business advice you’ve ever received: At the end of the day, all the tech tools in the world can’t—and shouldn’t—replace the face-to-face relationships. It’s all about relationships and providing exceptional service.
How do you like to connect with agents?
I like face-to-face interaction the best. Sometimes we all need a hug, and sometimes we all need a nudge. I also use text and email. Usually, whichever avenue my agents use to reach out to me is how I respond. If I haven’t touched base with an agent recently, I’ll reach out to make sure everything is on track, or to see how I can help them get back on track.
What do you love most about working in real estate?
A lot! When I see my agents face a challenge and grow right through it, I’m on top of the world. Earning the trust of our clients or agents—and then exceeding their expectations—is the perfect way to spend my days.
What do you consider to be your top tech tool?
Our Global Network Platform offers multiple tech tools that provide our agents with the ability to consistently push exposure out to broad audiences via multiple channels, including social, digital and print. The focus is on the ever-changing environment that results in the desire from clients to have stability and expertise in their REALTOR®. One of our agents’ favorite tools is our Videolicious app, which allows the agent to present properties and our lifestyle effortlessly. Our mobile app is another tool that our agents use consistently—it’s our version of a business card. We can email, text or post it on social media for clients to download. The app provides real-time data on rentals, open houses, driving navigation, and more.
What do you consider the most innovative thing your company is doing?
Embracing change. The energy is amazing, and because everyone in our firm has made a huge life change just by joining our new brokerage, it was natural to build our culture around that. The ripple effects have been powerful, spilling into all areas of our lives, including fitness, vocabulary, relationships, confidence and new routines.
How does your company attract and bring in new talent?
We’re a model based solely on attraction. We’ve been very careful to ensure that those joining the firm are like-minded professionals. I’d say the common theme is attracting professionals who are interested in growth.
