Did you receive an email from ACE about a “broken token” or did you notice a red “Reset” button in your ACE Social Network setup area? In short, a broken-token means ACE no longer has permission to post to your social media account. When you initially created a connection in ACE the social media service (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter) gave ACE a long term “token” – basically a permission slip for ACE to post content on your behalf. There are a variety of reasons why this happened, here’s how to fix:
- Find out which account is broken. Example, you visit the ACE Social Network setup area you see a red reset button near Linkedin (or Facebook, or Twitter).
- Log out of that social media account. Following this example go to Linkedin.com and if you are logged in click “Me” and then click Sign out. (If the red reset button was near Facebook, go to Facebook.com and click Log Out. Ditto Twitter.)
- In ACE Social Network Setup area click the Reset button. The connection will be fixed immediately – or you may be prompted to enter your social media username and password.
