The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) has signed an agreement with News Corp subsidiary Move, Inc., to display its Residential Listing Service’s (RLS) new centralized syndication feed on realtor.com®, Move recently announced. The partnership makes realtor.com, which is operated by Move, the first major national online real estate website to receive a direct feed from REBNY, according to a release from Move.
The partnership allows the more than 600 REBNY RLS brokerage firms, comprising over 12,860 agents, the option to display their listings on realtor.com and its mobile apps, including Doorsteps and the Global Property Network. In addition, participating RLS brokerage firms and their agents will receive access to the realtor.com dashboard, which provides reporting on listings and leads, the ability to manage their listings on an agent and broker level, and access to realtor.com’s agent resource center and research portal. RLS firms should be able to display their listings on realtor.com and its mobile apps later this month.
Realtor.com is New York’s fastest-growing online real estate destination, with unique users increasing an average of 12 percent year-over-year in the first six months of 2017, according to comScore’s June 2017 Local Market Report.
“Since we entered the New York market nearly three years ago, we have been fortunate to work with the New York City real estate community to display the majority of the local listings to the growing number of consumers who have made realtor.com the fastest-growing website in the New York City metro,” says Ray Picard, executive vice president of Sales at realtor.com. “This agreement with REBNY will build on realtor.com’s growing presence in New York, allowing us to enhance the consumer experience in one of the world’s largest real estate markets, and provide more opportunities for agents to engage with the millions of homebuyers and sellers who rely on realtor.com for the most up-to-date and comprehensive listing data.
“We’re thrilled that REBNY recognizes the value of a direct relationship with realtor.com and we look forward to demonstrating the many benefits realtor.com provides to REBNY’s members,” Picard says.
“The addition of realtor.com to RLS syndication is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to increase the visibility and reach of New York City’s most accurate and consistent listing information to consumers,” says John Banks, president of REBNY, “The homebuyers, sellers, and renters who utilize realtor.com’s nationally recognized digital tools will have greater access to real-time listing information provided by the RLS.”
Brokerage firms that have contacted the Board to indicate that they intend to opt-in and participate in the syndicated feed include, among others: BOND New York, Brown Harris Stevens, Citi Habitats, Compass, The Corcoran Group, CORE, Fox Residential Group, Halstead Property, Leslie J. Garfield & Co., Stribling & Associates, TOWN Residential, and Warburg Realty.
