Posting to Facebook Pages Only
In August 2018 Facebook began restricting all applications (including ) from automatically posting to Facebook personal Profiles. In summary you will need to have a Facebook Page in order for to post on your behalf to the Facebook platform.
A Facebook Business Page is a great way to promote your business, and it’s easy to set up.
Facebook Pages are separate from your Facebook personal Profile.
Facebook Pages promote your business to the public – like having another presence online that can be found by 1 billion-plus Facebook users, as well as seen by non-users.
Plus, Facebook Pages can provide valuable marketing data and targeting options.
Here’s how to create a Facebook Page for your business:
Step 1
Log in to your Facebook account.
Step 2
On right side of blue menu, click Create, then Page.
Step 3
Below the Business or Brand tile, click Get Started.
Step 4
Give your page a Name. This will be seen by the public, so make it something related to your business (e.g., Marie Rivera Real Estate).
Step 5
Type in Real Estate or Real Estate Agent to associate your page with the Real Estate category on Facebook.
Step 6
If you’d like, enter your company address and phone information if you like. You can have the option to hide your company address, if desired.
Step 7
Facebook will now ask you to complete your Page. You can follow these prompts now, or skip and come back to them later.
That’s it!
Now, you can begin building a following for your business by inviting your friends and family to Like your Page.
Promote your business Page further by adding it to your email signature, and linking to your Page from your website.
