HomeServices of America has appointed Gino Blefari, CEO of HSF Affiliates, to CEO of the company, according to an announcement by the organization on Wednesday.
With the change, Chris Stuart, COO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, will become CEO of HSF Affiliates, and Allan Dalton, HSF Affiliates’ senior vice president of Research and Development, will become CEO of Real Living Real Estate. HSF Affiliates operates both franchise networks.
Blefari, alongside Ron Peltier, executive chairman of HomeServices, is charged with the company’s continued growth, including its acquisition strategy, and will continue to be integrally involved with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Real Living.
“HomeServices of America is an incredible organization built on the strength of local brands and supported by a world-class leadership team,” says Blefari, who was named a 2019 Real Estate Newsmaker by RISMedia. “I couldn’t be more excited or proud to be joining a team that is so deeply connected to one another and committed to the ongoing success of their companies.”
“Chris brings a unique perspective to our industry based on his combination of enterprise technology experience plus his time with me operating Intero Real Estate, one of the country’s largest real estate brokerage firms,” Blefari says. “I have the highest confidence in Chris, who has been a skilled leader at HSF Affiliates, delivering exceptional growth and innovation to our networks. Allan, with decades of industry experience and success, will be a visionary leader of the Real Living network.”
“Our growth brings substantial opportunity,” says Peltier. “In today’s competitive and fluid landscape, we are the preferred choice for market leaders looking to join a company known for its integrity, financial strength, and operational excellence. To best capitalize, I wanted to add an executive with an extended history of enterprise growth and success. Gino has been instrumental in the growth and continued success of our franchise networks. His extraordinary expertise will provide a valuable added level of support for me and for our companies and will be a tremendous addition to the superb leadership team already in place.”
With the announcement, Peltier confirmed its expansion strategy—with which acquired brokerages maintain their name—will remain the same.
“HomeServices’ commitment to acquiring market-leading companies and keeping the local brands intact remains unchanged,” Peltier says. “2019 promises to be a busy and exciting year for our company.”
The announcement builds out the company’s executive leadership team, which also includes Michael Jalbert, HSF Affiliates’ senior vice president of Global Sales; Teresa Palacios Smith, HSF Affiliates’ vice president of Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Strategies; Brian Peterson, HSF Affiliates’ CFO; and Rosalie Warner, HSF Affiliates’ vice president of Network Services. The company was featured in the June 2018 issue of RISMedia’s Real Estate magazine, and, in May, Peltier, along with six other industry leaders, was inducted into RISMedia’s inaugural Newsmakers Hall of Fame.
