Moving to a new home with your pet?
Help your furry friend stay comfortable and safe.
Before the move, maintain your pet’s regular routine as much as possible.
If your pet isn’t used to car travel, practice with short trips around the neighborhood.
Make sure your pet has ID tags in case he or she accidentally gets loose.
After moving, immediately walk a dog outside to build familiarity with the new area.
To reduce a cat’s risk of running away, gradually expose your feline to the full house.
Create a sense of security by placing your pet’s food, bed and toys in similar areas as before.
And, of course, show your pet love.
