The National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP) has unveiled its second annual Top LGBT+ Agent List, the real estate industry’s only recognition of top-producing LGBT and allied agents and teams. The year’s list included 119 individual and teams and nearly doubled last year’s honoree total.
Shirley Gary of Engel & VÓ§lkers Buckhead Atlanta repeated at the top of the individual agent sales volume category, producing $125.1 million, a 78 percent increase over her winning $70.1 million generated last year.
Blair Myers of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Success in Warner Robins, Ga., headed the individual agent transaction sides list, with 305.8 sides in 2018. He was up 12 percent over last year’s 272 transaction sides.
The EZ Referral Network, led by Michael Zinicola with Keller Williams in West Lake, Ohio, again led all teams on the list with $208.9 million in sales volume and 1,081 transaction sides in 2018. The group did $185.1 million in sales volume and 968.8 sides in 2017.
“NAGLREP is playing an important role in showcasing the success of LGBT and allied agents across the United States,” says Kevin Thompson, chief marketing officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC. “We are proud to sponsor the LGBT+ Agent List for the second year in a row because we support the commitment and dedication of these individuals who make real estate more inclusive every day. At its core, the real estate industry is about curating relationships and providing impeccable service; the professionals on this list excel at making those connections and delivering on that promise.”
NAGLREP, now in its 12th year, has grown dramatically, with more than 2,500 members and 37 chapters around the nation, and is noted as one of the largest LGBT+ trade groups in the U.S.
“Doubling the number of agents and teams on the Top LGBT+ Agent List is another example of the positive momentum the LGBT community has seen this year in the real estate industry,” says NAGLREP Founder Jeff Berger. “The industry continues to lead against anti-discrimination in housing, including the outpouring of public support for the Equality Act, which recently passed in the House. And, while advocacy is a core mission of NAGLREP, we are also a business organization. Shirley and Blair, along with Michael and his team, produced at such high levels and are setting an incredible standard. We are looking forward to honoring them, and all of those who made the list, at the NAGLREP Conference in October in Palm Springs.”
All sales professionals and teams ranked in the NAGLREP Top LGBT+ Agent List appeared on the 2019 REAL Trends + Tom Ferry America’s Best Real Estate Professionals ratings. REAL Trends qualified all NAGLREP members who met 2018 individual agent production minimums of 50 sides or $20 million in sales volume. Teams, whose lead is a NAGLREP member, were recognized with at least 75 sides or $30 million in sales volume last year.
