What You’ll Need:
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- ¼ cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 4-5 cups confectioner’s sugar
- 2 bags of green tea
Let’s Get Baking!
Step One: Heat your butter on the stove in a saucepan until it is fully melted. Place the two bags of tea into the warm butter and let steep for 15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and place the butter back into the fridge until it hardens slightly.
Step Two: Place butter and heavy cream into a large mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer on high speed, whisk the butter until creamy.
Step Three: Slowly add the confectioner’s sugar ½ a cup at a time. Be sure to mix slowly until the confectioner’s sugar is slightly incorporated, then turn the hand mixer speed to medium. Repeat until all the confectioner’s sugar is fully incorporated and enjoy!
Frosting Tips:
Frost your cupcakes like a pro with this piping method. Place a piping bag or a plastic Ziploc bag inside a small cup. Drape the opening of the bag over the edges of the cup. Using a spatula, scoop the frosting into the bag. Once the bag is about ¾ full, seal the bag and cut a small hole in the bottom. Frost away and enjoy!
