Popsicles are the perfect tasty treat to cool down from the heat. Nothing beats a chilly fruity snack on a hot summer day! Make this fun snack even more fun by making your very own. Follow this easy recipe to make your own popsicles with materials from around your home!
What You’ll Need
- Dixie cups
- Popsicle sticks
- Aluminum foil
- Juice of your choice
- Optional: thinly sliced fruit of your choice
Directions:
Step One: Arrange your Dixie cups on a tray or plate. Pour the juice into your Dixie cups, filling them nearly to the top. If you’d like, you can add pieces of thinly sliced fruit in to give your pop an extra cool kick!
Step Two: Cover the top of the cup with aluminum foil. Create a small slit in the center of the foil with a knife or scissors. Place the popsicle stick through the slit.
Step Three: Place the popsicles in the freezer and let freeze for 3-4 hours or until completely frozen.
Step Four: Remove from the freezer and discard the aluminum foil. Carefully cut a small slit on the top of the Dixie cup. Peel the cup away from the popsicle like a banana. Enjoy!
Optional: If you’d like to make your cool treat even cooler, you can create layers of different juices! Pour the first juice into the cup (about ⅓ of the way full) and place in the freezer until fully frozen. Remove and repeat this step with every flavor of juice.
