From my point of view, they have all approached the compensation topic the wrong way. What’s more, these ‘top leaders’ taught these erroneous theories to everyone they have working in their brokerages! This is shameful! It’s time to go back to your contracts and read them. It’s all in there.
They sure don’t need my help but it seems to me NAR, KW, etc should have a line of agents who one after the other testify they do not adhere to a 6% rule and they routinely offer lower commissions to sellers. How they choose to distribute those commissions is up to the agent/broker but I know hundreds of agents/brokers in our market (many with KW and ReMax) who routinely offer commissions below 6%.

Not only have we seen commissions below 6% we have seen them above 6% as well. As we always say in this business “everything is negotiable”
