Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, in conjunction with Rebuilding Together Houston, participated in a Hurricane Harvey rebuild day on Jan. 30 in Houston’s Independence Heights neighborhood, the company recently announced.
“Gary Greene shares Rebuilding Together’s vision of providing a safe and healthy home for every person,” says Mark Woodroof, managing partner of Better Homes and Gardens Real EState Gary Greene. “Our volunteers are dedicated to being part of the organization’s Houston efforts in Independence Heights that help homeowners with much needed repairs to keep a house feeling like a home.”
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the wonderful volunteers from Gary Greene in Independence Heights for the second year in a row,” says Christine Holland, CEO and executive director of Rebuilding Together Houston. “Independence Heights is a special community that was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey, and we need as many volunteers as possible to get our neighbors back into their homes.”
Through The Gary Greene Foundation, Gary Greene volunteers spent the day repairing up to nine homes in Houston’s Independence Heights neighborhood. Led by Rebuilding Together Houston, volunteers completed exterior repairs to help keep the elements and pests out of homes: replacing siding, scraping and painting, and cleaning up yards.
