What You Can’t Control

What You Can’t Control

House with a carved heart in the city on the background of sunrise.

What we are going through is unprecedented and scary—on a global scale. Here’s what we know: It’s out of our control. And things that are out of our control we can be mindful of, we can be informed,  but please try not to be “infected.” And by that, I don’t mean the virus. I mean the kind of fear that is debilitating. That robs us of bandwidth and keeps us from having the ability to problem solve.

We’ve got this. Together, we’ve got this. The time to band together and find solutions is right here and right now. What we can control? Our response. Our focus. Our commitment, to ourselves, our families and the communities we serve.

What should you be focused on right now?

  • Putting your book of business “ducks in a row.” In other words, build your database so that you have structure for your prospecting system for staying in touch.
  • Reach out to the people in your community. Not from a sales approach but from a place of service. Ask how you can help. Communicate with empathy.
  • Take the time to learn. It is essential to adapt quickly and learn the tools and technologies that will allow you to stay relevant and connected during this challenging time.
  • Stay calm. I get it. It’s chaotic right now. But when we allow worry to take over, we rob ourselves of the ability to think on our feet and problem-solve.

In every adversity there is opportunity. It is our jobs now to lead and let our clients and communities know that we are there as a resource. You are a service professional, lead with that purpose.

My team will be here for you every step of the way. This situation is fluid and changing swiftly. Don’t try to go it alone. There’s a whole network of agents out there ready to find the answers right along with you. Connect.
