Charlie Oppler, owner, broker and managing partner of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, is heading into his 40th year in the real estate industry. After serving in volunteer leadership of organized real estate in the late 1980s, he has built a company of 15 offices and over 700 dedicated agents. He is also serving as the 2021 president of the National Association of REALTORS®.
“Real estate is still the greatest industry in the world with some of the finest people I have ever met,” says Oppler.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Oppler’s message to his agents was to ensure they check in with clients, not just about real estate, but about their general needs.
“Understand that your sphere of influence is your sphere of influence for a reason – because you have relationships with them,” he says. “They’re not a search-engine lead that you never met; they’re the person that helped you grow your business.”
