A true crusader for her community and the real estate industry at large, Katey McGrath is a powerhouse of advocacy, leadership and servant-hearted service. Over her 25 years in real estate, she has built Elfant Wissahickon REALTORS® into the largest independent brokerage in Philadelphia and the third-largest in Pennsylvania. With her sights set on creating a better future for real estate professionals and homeowners alike, McGrath is shaping both policy and practice to ensure meaningful change.
In 2024, McGrath spearheaded the creation of Pennsylvania’s first Women’s Council of REALTORS® network and was elected its president through 2025. She was also appointed by Philadelphia’s first female mayor, Cherelle Parker, to the Philadelphia Commission for Women, where she advocates for homeownership to close the wealth gap. Additionally, she was elected to the Bright MLS board of directors, and serves as treasurer for the Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS®.
McGrath’s commitment extends to community advocacy, including combating predatory homebuying through partnerships with Community Legal Services and developing the Building Equity program to increase homeownership for low- to moderate-income buyers. Beyond her professional achievements, McGrath has a long history of civic engagement, from her work with Friends of J.S. Jenks Elementary to the Philadelphia Public School Notebook, consistently fighting for equity, stronger neighborhoods and sustainable homeownership.
“I love mentoring emerging leaders and connecting people with opportunities to drive change,” says McGrath, whose work reflects her deep belief that sustainable homeownership and strong neighborhoods build a better future for all.
