RISMEDIA, August 15, 2011–Better Homes and Gardens (BHG) Rand Realty has announced that it will once again participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk to be held in multiple locations throughout the Hudson Valley on Sunday, October 16. More than 250 agents from 26 of the company’s offices have pledged support.
The company first became involved in the walk last year, after the passing of a colleague who lost her battle with cancer. More than 100 agents from 16 offices participated in the event and raised more than $37,000 for the cause through a variety of donations, auctions, tag sales and other fundraisers, making the brokerage one of the Hudson Valley’s top fundraising companies for the event.
This year, more than 250 agents from 26 offices are participating in walks being held at Woodbury Commons, Dutchess Stadium and Manhattanville College. The company has numerous events and fundraisers planned, with hopes of raising even more money than last year.
“We’re proud to support the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk again this year,” said Matt Rand, managing partner of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty. “We’ve all been affected by illness, and we feel strongly about doing everything we can to raise money for a cure. I’m so proud of our agents and offices for taking the initiative to make a commitment to make a difference.”
