RISMEDIA, December 6, 2011–RE/MAX of Boulder, Inc. cares about the community we are immersed in, and we give back at every opportunity. Our own REALTOR® Lisa Wade has been on the Board of Directors for Boulder’s “Share-a-Gift” organization since 1998. As part of the “Holiday Giving Program,” the Boulder Share-a-Gift organization is the Boulder area distributor for the renowned Toys for Tots Foundation.
As part of their annual toy distribution, they have combined efforts with the local Rotary Club’s “Share-a-Coat” program. RE/MAX of Boulder became involved in this charitable program by running a coat drive for the Rotary Club; the “Let’s Bag Hunger” food drive for Community Food Share; and now, new and gently used toys for ages 0-14 for the Share-a-Gift organization.
“Having grown up in Boulder and now raising my own family, as well as running my own business here, I am a huge advocate for giving back,” says Wade. “A firm believer in thinking globally and acting locally, I like to do what I can for those less fortunate. There is always time to give and I make it a personal mission. RE/MAX of Boulder has been fully supportive and enthusiastically participates in collecting and donating for our community.”
We have been collecting coats since October at RE/MAX of Boulder, and we thank everyone who dropped unneeded coats in the collection box in our lobby at 2425 Canyon Blvd on the northeast corner of Canyon and Folsom. RE/MAX of Boulder was a drop-site for food and toiletries for the Community Food Share from November 13th – 23rd. We will continue to collect new and gently used toys, books, and bikes for ages 0-14 from November 25 – December 14. Everyone is welcome to drop by our offices with their donations.
