Candace Adams has risen to become a leader in the real estate industry over the course of her 30-plus year career.
She began as a sales associate and went on to open her own firm just two years later. The firm was later sold to Prudential Connecticut Realty, where Adams served as regional vice president, chief operating officer, and finally as president. After the company became part of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in 2013, Adams became president/CEO. The firms has since seen tremendous growth under her leadership.
Adams has guided employees through numerous changes, including the acquisition of several brokerages and the opening of new offices, including the company’s first location in New York City. Adams currently oversees 1,800 agents who work in offices throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.
Adams attributes much of her professional success to working with people who share common values and vision, and to focusing on corporate culture. She is actively involved in charity work and encourages all employees to volunteer in their communities. All of this has contributed to the firm being named a Number One Workplace in Connecticut (Large Company).
According to Adams, "There is no stopping a team committed to doing the right thing! The gust of positive energy propels us to success.”
