As chief information officer for HomeServices of America, Alon Chaver is responsible for technology, information management, strategic planning, business development, and consumer experience. Chaver is charged with ensuring that technology and innovation continue to play an increasingly important role for the firm, its more than 40 brands and its franchising arm, HSF Affiliates, but in a responsible, balanced way.
“We’re continuing to develop our platform so that it integrates best-in-class technology into a coherent service experience,” said Chaver in an RISMedia interview earlier this year. “We’re also leveraging a lot of deep learning, advanced AI and analytics to provide the right data to our consumers, agents and tech vendors so they can interoperate and cooperate better.”
A long-time steward of technology innovation, Chaver previously served on Trulia’s executive team as VP of Industry Services, where he was responsible for data quality and the development of products and services to support Trulia’s partnerships with the real estate industry. Prior to that, he was the co-founder and CEO of iHomefinder, an online real estate pioneer providing software solutions and data services to agents, brokerages, and MLSs.
While his expertise leans toward tech, Chaver realizes that technology is merely a vehicle toward enhancing a company’s ultimate value proposition: relationship. “HomeServices stands for something deeply meaningful, and I think that really speaks to people. Excelling in delivering homeownership services, while being kind, ethical and compassionate, are the key ingredients to our high-quality operation.”
