Nicknamed “The Resourceful Broker,” Ayo Haynes uses her professional network to link clients to resources and contacts that help them achieve their real estate goals. She also relies on her MBA degree in marketing to come up with creative solutions.
Haynes is a licensed associate broker in New York and Connecticut with Halstead Real Estate and lead agent of the Haynes Velasquez Team, a bilingual group specializing in residential, commercial and new development acquisitions.
Partnering with an esteemed Steinway piano reseller, Haynes and her team recently enhanced the staging of a listing’s living room with a gorgeous Steinway piano on loan to them. The team and reseller co-hosted a musical soiree to kick off the summer for invited clients and customers. The event effectively drove extra traffic from potential buyers to the apartment and helped elevate the team’s brand. For the property video, Haynes was able to get two Julliard-trained musicians to provide a soundtrack inspired by the beauty of the pre-war home.
“For me, the easiest way of coming up with innovative marketing ideas is to start from a place of wanting to help people; of wanting to share their talent, energy and gifts with others,” says Haynes. “When you have a genuine desire to connect people, the ideas flow and out-of-the-box marketing solutions follow.”
Haynes has been with Halstead Real Estate for 13 years. She also served on New York City’s Interagency Foster Care Task Force to help prevent homelessness among former foster care children.
