In 2024, Compass acquired Latter & Blum, and Cheryl McAdam knew she had to rise to meet the occasion of not only this merger but the overall shifting market. To do so, she went right to the agents, managers and employees she needed to lead.
“I made it a priority to get back into the offices, directly engaging with our agents to understand their concerns and the challenges they were facing,” she says. “This hands-on approach allowed me to collaborate closely with our operations team, ensuring that we delivered the tools and resources our agents needed to thrive in this evolving landscape.”
In her leadership role at Latter & Blum, she is responsible for 2,000 agents across Louisiana and Mississippi, but she didn’t let the scope of her team deter her from connecting with and leading them. “While others in the market are struggling to adapt to these industry changes, our agents are well-prepared and thriving,” McAdam says, citing that Latter & Blum has been ranked as a local Top Place To Work in 2024 for the fourth year in a row by the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
