David Serle, broker/owner of RE/MAX Services in Boca Raton, Fla., started “Breakfast with the Broker” about two years ago. The Facebook Live show, which is aired on Tuesday mornings, is designed to bring together agents, brokers, and affiliates to promote collaboration and professionalism. Serle interviews a wide range of top producers who want to give back, including Instagram influencers, individual agents and CEOs from across the U.S. and around the world, to promote the idea that real estate professionals are stronger together.
He wants to get the word out about how professionalism helps the industry as a whole and how negativity is detrimental. Serle believes that people in the real estate field should think of themselves as collaborators, rather than competitors, and strive to build each other up for the “greater good” of the industry.
Serle was named Broker of the Year in 2016 and 2018 for the third-largest Board of REALTORS® in the U.S. In 2019, he was proud to note an increase in professionalism in the real estate field overall based on feedback he received from viewers of “Breakfast with the Broker.” Several people noted the value the interviews had provided.
Serle says it’s important in all interactions to think about the feelings of others.
“You may not always remember everything I have said to you, but you will always remember how I made you feel,” he notes.
