As president of Ohio Operations for the Coldwell Banker Schmidt Family of Companies, Felicia Hengle has become known for motivating her agents to become more engaged through training. Specializing in recruiting and coaching, she directly oversees 400-plus agents in 14 locations with an annual sales volume over $400 million.
“Leadership is a lifestyle that is always evolving,” says Hengle. “You never truly master it, but you aspire to in all that you are, all that you do and all that you touch.”
Since she joined Coldwell Banker in 2016, the Ohio region has experienced 25 percent growth in agent count, with an 88 percent retention rate. The company has remodeled eight locations in that time, as well, and increased overall volume by 34 percent, outpacing their MLS in all categories this year.
Hengle spent 15 years as a top-performing agent with Coldwell Banker, as well as four years as the CEO and team leader of a large Keller Williams office in the Cleveland area. However, it’s her extensive experience training agents that has set her apart.
“I received most of my coaching skills during my time with Keller Williams when I left Coldwell Banker to pursue a leadership opportunity,” she says. “In my role, I was expected to coach my top 20 percent of the agent roster of 175 agents, and I knew that I needed to be good, so I studied coaching and had a coach myself.”
