In 2023, president Gary Scott strengthened the Allen Tate Company’s position on a regional and national level in partnership with Howard Hanna Real Estate. Scott revitalized Allen Tate’s Emerging Leaders program to identify agents and help them grow into leaders.
Scott also developed a partner office growth strategy in which top-producing agents and teams who want their own office receive assets and support services from Allen Tate. Agents are financially responsible and have fewer constraints than they would with a franchise relationship. That model has helped with both recruiting and retention.
“As I enter my 38th year in the business, I am reminded of advice I received 35 years ago from two of my mentors,” says Scott. “My father, Gary Scott, would always remind me ‘If it was easy, anyone could do it.’ My second mentor, Dick Christopher, shared with me that our title should be ‘farmer’ because we grow people. Today, those two insightful learnings remain an integral driver in my professional journey.”
