Jessica Edgerton

Jessica Edgerton is executive vice president of operations and serves as corporate counsel at Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. She oversees LeadingRE’s technology, marketing, preferred vendor relationships and events, as well as provides legal guidance for the organization and shares insights with its members on key legal issues.

Over the past year, Edgerton says, being proactive in helping members understand the current legal environment and take precautions to protect themselves, their companies and their clients has been incredibly gratifying. She enjoyed producing LeadingRE’s “Risky Business” series, offering alerts and strategies on topics ranging from wire fraud protection, to the use of recording devices during the home sale process, to the big legal considerations that come along with tiny home ownership. Additionally, Edgerton shared insights on litigation taking place in the industry and the ongoing need for diligence in regulatory compliance, online security and personal safety.

“Our goal as an organization is to support the continued success of our members. ‘Risky Business’ is just one example of how we inform and empower the outstanding leaders who comprise our community,” says Edgerton. “I look forward to continuing the series in 2020 and working with our team to deploy other new initiatives that will keep our network on top.”

Prior to joining LeadingRE in 2018, Edgerton served as associate counsel for the National Association of REALTORS®. Additional industry experience includes serving as general counsel/chief compliance officer for a national appraisal company and as assistant director for a commercial real estate company.
