Financial Lessons I’ve Learned from Bankruptcy to Multimillionaire
Everyone's journey is different, but here's some lessons I've personally learned throughout the years. Watch now.
Karen Jo Dobyns is a top agent with First Weber REALTORS® in Fond du Lac, Wis. She is an area native who has worked as a REALTOR® since 2000. Dobyns started her career with a locally-owned broker and joined the team at First Weber in 2006. In late 2015, First Weber was acquired by HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate. The change in ownership allowed First Weber to expand its presence throughout Wisconsin. The company serves nearly all markets in the state with approximately 1,200 agents in 58 offices, and is a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®.
Dobyns has a background in construction and land development that helped her transition into the field of real estate, previously serving as general manager for a high-end local builder of custom homes. Dobyns is a member of the REALTORS® Association of Northeast Wisconsin, the National Association of REALTORS®, and the Multiple Listing Services of both Northeast Wisconsin and Metro Milwaukee. She has received annual sales awards and the Chairman’s Award of Recognition statewide.
For several years, Dobyns has led a fundraising effort called “Bags for Bags” in which gently used purses and scarves are sold to raise money to support breast cancer patients. Funds are donated to Necessities Bags Wisconsin, a group that provides recovering breast cancer patients with a bag containing necessary items.
