In 2020, Kathy Kwak, executive vice president of operations and counsel for Proper Title, quickly implemented procedures to allow the company to continue serving customers, despite COVID-19. She also increased the firm’s transaction volume, opened new suburban offices and hired over 30 new employees. Proper Title received Fidelity Investments’ “Rising Star/Excellence in Action” award for the fifth consecutive year.

“I have learned that we as humans are extraordinarily resilient. I have choked up watching the staff go through one of the toughest times in their personal lives while continuing to show up to work to provide the best customer service to our customers.
