There has never been a time that people have depended so much on the hard work and expertise of medical professionals. Risking their own safety to care for others, nurses, doctors and other frontline caregivers fought—and continue to fight—an incredibly difficult battle against the pandemic.

In 2021 Kelly Shaw’s real estate team closed more than 61 transactions and $30 million in sales. But what is significantly more impressive is that she did this while working almost 30 hours a week in her other profession as a nurse, directly treating COVID patients as well as new mothers as a postpartum specialist. Undeterred even after a significant leg injury over the summer, Shaw was the epitome of service and sacrifice this year, choosing to confront the hardest challenges this year could throw at her.
