Beginning her career in 1993 as a REALTOR®, Mary Lee Blaylock, senior vice president of HomeServices of America, has successfully managed various roles and real estate offices throughout her career. Today, she is known as a high-energy, hands-on leader, encouraging her team to come forward with new ideas and solutions.

For a decade, between 2004-2014, Blaylock was honored to start and serve as president of the national and international company, HomeServices Relocation, LLC, until she moved to California to become the senior vice president and general manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties. She was promoted to president and CEO of the highly respected organization two years later, and now serves as chairperson.

“I am a firm believer in doing the right thing,” she says. “Choose to work harder, smarter and never lose your integrity. Always do the right thing, treat everyone with respect, and life will choose good for you.” In May of 2021, Blaylock moved back to her home state of Minnesota to serve as senior vice president of HomeServices of America. In her operational role, she examines opportunities for process efficiency, structural and transformational changes for the betterment of the organization.

She has a contagious enthusiasm and a sincere passion for real estate and helping others rise to a higher level of success than they previously believed they could achieve, especially women in real estate. “The opportunities for women today are real when hard work is applied and the job is earned,” says Blaylock. “I am certain, over time, more women will aspire to become leaders of business in our industry, and I look forward to watching and actively participating in the expansion of women at the top in real estate.”
