With more than 42 years of experience, Melissa Cohn is a pioneer in the mortgage industry, consistently achieving top ranks as the No. 1 originator since joining the company in 2020. In 2024, she was ranked No. 35 in the Scotsman Guide list of 2024 Top Women Originators with a total volume of more than $116 million and 148 total loans closed. She was also ranked No. 16 in the Scotsman Guide 2024 Top Mortgage Brokers list, named a 2024 Elite Women Female Leaders in the Mortgage Industry by NMP magazine and named a Crain’s Notable Leader in Real Estate for 2024.

While driving change and personally helping to promote more women into the male-dominated mortgage field, her daughter, Sarah Alvarez, is following in her mother’s footsteps. “I love teaching her the business I helped to create and knowing that she will be my legacy in the industry,” says Cohn.
