Rosamaria Acuña is a REALTOR® and sales associate in Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties’ La Jolla office. A longtime Peninsula resident, Acuña has represented buyers and sellers for over 30 years and has an in-depth knowledge of the San Diego neighborhood real estate business. She is known for her honest business practices, strict ethical standards, hard work, dedication to her clients, and use of the latest innovations in marketing and technology.
Acuña is also dedicated to supporting her community. She serves as co-captain for Neighborhood Watch and lead committee member for the San Diego Architectural Foundation. In addition, Acuña volunteers and raises funds to support the San Diego Rescue Mission, Friends of Scott Foundation (an organization that supports children with cancer), and Noah Homes (an advocacy group for people with developmental disabilities). She is a member of MANA de San Diego, a Latina women’s empowerment organization, as well as several real estate and community organizations.
The Sunset Cliffs Natural Park Council has been working to replace foreign vegetation with native species and to combat erosion. Acuña served as the SCNPC’s 2019 corresponding secretary. She says that in addition to completing the revegetation process, the group is focused on educating the public about the plant species that are being introduced and other ecological factors relevant to the area. The group hopes that when people understand the work that has been done in the area and the reasons for it, they will appreciate the changes and work to maintain the park.
