Scott Olsen is CEO of ReferralExchange, one of the real estate industry’s leading referral networks, and oversees the day-to-day business and guides the strategic direction of the company with the executive team.
In 2019, the company launched ReferralExchange LIVE, a service that helps agents make the most of their network by verifying and qualifying contacts acquired through their third-party lead generation efforts. The company also expanded into Canada, beginning in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.
Looking back on 2019, Olsen notes, “What is most personally satisfying is the excellent introductions we give our clients to amazing agents.”
Olsen has spent the past 12 years building ReferralExchange alongside founder Ali Hamed. Through Olsen’s stewardship, the company has helped transform the way residential real estate referrals are traded and created one of the largest independent networks of agents in the country, with over 140,000 agents.
“Despite all the noise and drama in the market, consumers will always need great agents,” says Olsen.
Olsen has always been passionate about business. Previously, he worked at several firms in equity research, investment banking and venture capital. He has a B.S. in business administration from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Because ReferralExchange is extremely data focused, Olsen also plays an individual contributor role as a junior member of Dr. Dan’s Data Science team. He is an avid outdoorsman and sailor.
