Smokey Garrett is the owner and operating principal of 13 Keller Williams Realty franchises that are known as the GO Network. He also serves as regional director of the North Texas, New Mexico and Memphis regions, and is a regional owner in Keller Williams Realty.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Garrett held daily calls with his leadership team, conducted virtual training and mindset sessions to help agents, and put systems in place to perform virtual transactions and contactless closings. His offices provided stimulus packages and profit sharing to agents, which allowed agents to have higher gross commission income in 2020 than in 2019.
“Everyone is feeling the pressure of change in our industry, and that can create fear,” Garrett told RISMedia. “Helping our agents navigate the changes by providing value, leadership and tools will turn that fear into action, which will give the control and power back to our agents.”
