Terrie O’Connor founded Terrie O’Connor REALTORS® in 1991, following a successful 10-year career in real estate sales, marketing and management. The company has grown to become a leading independent brokerage with eight locations, approximately 420 sales associates and 40 full-time employees. In 2021, the firm was a finalist in the “Best Real Estate Company” category on New Jersey’s Best of Bergen list.
“At Terrie O’Connor REALTORS®, our clients are our neighbors, our friends and our family. Our clients deserve exceptional service, and our highly trained sales associates work tirelessly from pre-listing to closing day,” O’Connor says.
As both the daughter and eventual wife of U.S. Naval officers, O’Connor lived in widespread locations around the globe, including Malta, Hawaii, Panama and England as well as a dozen locations across the United States. This experience prepared her well for a successful career in real estate.
Today, O’Connor is a director on the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey. She is a past chairman of the board of the Builders Association of Northern New Jersey, and was the first woman president in 1994 and 1995.
Additionally, O’Connor is devoted to giving back to the communities her company serves. In recognition for her work with Covenant House, the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey named Terrie O’Connor REALTORS® a “Champion of Good Works: Advocates of the Homeless.” The company’s 501(c)(3) arm, “Grace Foundation for Terrie O’Connor REALTORS®” allows donors to make tax deductible contributions to the many causes she and her company support.
