Tim Dain is CEO and president of St. Louis-based MARIS, a regional multiple listing service (MLS) with 14 REALTOR® associations and approximately 13,500 members.
Under Dain’s leadership, MARIS has successfully converted its culture, infrastructure, staff and products toward a service-based organization. This was accomplished through brand realignment, management and marketing platform conversions to SalesForce, and comprehensive member engagement to drive product realignment.
“I feel that MARIS has blazed a trail toward what an MLS should become,” says Dain. “We’re focused on service that members feel. Dain is a creative executive who cut his leadership teeth in the U.S. Marine Corps. He possesses technical ability, thanks to his early career as an account executive with primary responsibilities in casino database conversions across North and South America. Dain started in real estate as an agent and eventually owned his own independent brokerage. On the MLS side of real estate, he has also led the Southern Illinois Regional MLS and Austin Board of REALTORS® MLS.
Dain has left his mark on industry initiatives with the Broker Public Portal, Advanced Multi-List Platform and MLSGrid. He currently serves in volunteer roles with NAR, CMLS, realtor.com, dotloop, BPP, MLSGrid, Showingtime and Voicester Pro.
