As chair of Greater Southern MLS, he’s spearheaded transformative efforts to create a borderless, broker-driven MLS across Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Under his leadership, the MLS became the first in Louisiana to eliminate Clear Cooperation rules and allow participation without requiring REALTOR® membership. Strategic moves like data-sharing with FMLS and a partnership with Occusell have enhanced accessibility and marketing capabilities for brokers, solidifying Greater Southern MLS as a progressive force in the industry.

Jay’s journey began as his mother’s assistant in the 1990s, and by 2017 he had launched his own brokerage. Balancing a challenging market and personal responsibilities—caring for his mother after significant health challenges—he has consistently delivered impactful results. “I love helping my clients, other agents and brokers succeed,” he says. “The reward is seeing others benefit from the work I’ve aspired to accomplish.”

Beyond real estate, Jay serves as chairman of the Housing Authority and Zoning Board of Adjustment in St. Charles Parish, championing housing affordability in hurricane-prone regions. His work exemplifies the spirit of a Crusader, driving meaningful change in the industry and his community.
