From Dodd-Frank regulations to controversial tax laws, the rules have changed for brokers and agents…and most importantly, their consumers. Ken Trepeta, Esq., director of Real Estate Services for the National Association of REALTORS®, will offer a detailed analysis of these business-altering topics in a special keynote presentation taking place at RISMedia’s 2013 Real Estate CEO Exchange, being held at New York City’s Yale Club next month.
Trepeta’s presentation, “New Tax Legislation and Dodd-Frank Take Hold: The Battles Ahead for Brokers and their Consumers”, sponsored by Citibank, will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 18—the second day of the CEO Exchange—from 9:00 – 9:40 a.m. According to Trepeta, as we move into the fourth quarter of 2013 and into 2014, precarious legislation that has been on the table for months will finally take effect. Reprising his essential presentation from last year’s CEO Exchange, Trepeta will provide an update on the critical legislative issues that will impact the real estate market at large.
This year’s Real Estate CEO Exchange, entitled “An Industry at Risk? Securing our Success on Real Estate’s New Playing Field” will assemble top brokerage leaders and sought-after industry experts to discuss the current state of the industry, how we have and must further evolve, and what steps we must take to remain sustainable and profitable.
The event, taking place at Manhattan’s prestigious Yale Club, runs from 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 through 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, and features approximately 30 expert speakers hailing from the nation’s leading brokerage firms.
