Attendees at this year’s NAR Annual Conference and Expo will have a special opportunity to hear several of the nation’s most successful industry leaders break down their strategies for success at RISMedia’s 19th annual Power Broker Forum, titled, “Power Broker Strategies for Enhancing the Consumer Experience.”
RISMedia is excited to announce that Matt Widdows, CEO and Founder of HomeSmart International, will be joining us as a featured speaker at the Power Broker Forum on Friday, November 7, from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
CEO and founder of HomeSmart International and HomeSmart Phoenix, Matt Widdows has been in the real estate industry for several years and has a background in software for the medical industry, Widdows founded HomeSmart in 2000 as a new concept real brokerage in the Metropolitan Phoenix market, based on the principle of providing high value and service at a low cost to agents. Over the course of the next decade he grew the Arizona-based brokerage from two agents to nearly 5,000 agents.
Based on his personal experience as a real estate broker, Widdows created proprietary systems and technology platforms for franchisees and then launched the HomeSmart concept into an international franchising company in 2010. HomeSmart is built around technology that provides franchisees and agents alike with cutting-edge tools, a high energy culture and efficiencies that enable them to spend more time focusing on clients and the profitability. Widdows’ goal is to replicate the success of the HomeSmart brokerage in Arizona in other major markets across North America.
In addition to Widdows, this year’s Power Broker Forum speakers include Sherry Chris, President and CEO, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate; Harold Crye, Co-founder and CEO of Crye-Leike, REALTORS; J. Lennox Scott, Chairman and CEO of John L. Scott Real Estate; Glenn “Chip” Gardner, Vice President of Special Initiatives at GARDNER REALTORS, and Dan Kruse, President, Century 21 Affiliated.
