For the 14th consecutive year, Cartus Corporation has been ranked as one of the Top 125 companies for organizational development and training by Training Magazine.
Cartus is the only relocation services provider to be included in Training‘s Top 125. The rankings were announced recently at a gala event in Atlanta, GA.
“Recognition from Training Magazine for 14 consecutive years is a tremendous source of pride for us,” says Amy Meichner, Cartus senior vice president, global human resources. “The collaboration between our Learning & Development staff and our business groups is what helps us identify the innovative training solutions that are the cornerstone for the services we provide to our clients and customers worldwide.”
Training’s annual competition evaluates organizational learning programs from hundreds of applicants, which are judged on elements such as internal best practices, demonstrable results, innovation, and evaluation procedures.
Cartus’ award-winning formula included an emphasis on mentoring. As an example of intra-company collaboration, Cartus recently formalized its mentoring program, called MyMentor, which gives employees an opportunity to apply for a six-month-long mentorship to help them define and develop their career goals. The program uses mentor-matching software that helps employees find the right fit when searching for a mentor; once matched, the two participants establish a common meeting schedule over the upcoming six months, using mentor-specific materials, tasks, and worksheets. After the six-month timeframe, 90 percent of participants surveyed says they would recommend the program to colleagues, and nearly 80 percent felt they had achieved their pre-set goals.
In addition, Cartus HR partners with various business units to coordinate a program known as “Walk in my Shoes,” which allows employees a chance to meet with representatives of other departments and learn about their business functions and day-to-day operations.
