To honor those making headlines for their newsworthy contributions to the real estate industry, RISMedia has announced its first-annual Power Broker Newsmaker Awards, to be presented during an invitation-only Reception & Dinner taking place on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. RISMedia has scheduled the inaugural Power Broker Newsmaker Awards Reception & Dinner to coincide with the same date as its Annual Power Broker Forum discussion panel, being held earlier that same day, during the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo.
RISMedia’s inaugural Power Broker Newsmakers Reception & Dinner will host more than 125 of the nation’s leading brokers and real estate executives to honor the recipients of RISMedia’s 2018 Newsmaker Awards, to be announced that evening.
According to John Featherston, President & CEO of RISMedia, “RISMedia’s Power Broker Newsmaker Awards will be recognizing and honoring the industry’s real newsmakers, the people who are positively affecting our industry and the millions of consumers we serve. Our industry promotes and provides consumers with a pathway to responsible homeownership. Over the past three plus decades, RISMedia has covered, chronicled and celebrated the professionals making news in real estate, and we are honored to be formalizing these honors starting with the first-annual RISMedia Power Broker Newsmaker Awards, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. during the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo.”
Designed specifically for a select group of broker/owners, brand executives and real estate service leaders, the Power Broker Newsmakers Reception & Dinner is by exclusive invitation only. Many of the industry’s elite have already reserved their spot, including: Dana Strandmo, COO, HomeServices of America; Howard Hanna III, Principal, Howard Hanna Real Estate; Todd Hetherington, CEO, Century 21 New Millennium; Jeff Sposito, President, J Rockcliff Realtors; Dorothy Herman, CEO, Douglas Elliman Real Estate; Ron Croushore, Owner/CEO at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty; Barbara Wolcott, Principal, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices; Sue Cartun, COO, Keller Williams Realty Services Arizona and Scott MacDonald, President, RE/MAX Gateway.
