Howard Hanna Real Estate Services has announced changes to its leadership in New York, with Karen Leonardi named senior vice president of the Western District and Albert Picchi named senior vice president of the Eastern District.
“Both Karen and Al have strong track records of success,” says Howard W. “Hoby” Hanna, IV, president of Real Estate Brokerage for Howard Hanna. “They have reputations for idea-sharing effective team-building and a strategic focus on overall productivity. I am looking forward to them using their skills to build and expand the dynamic presence and reputation of Howard Hanna in New York.”
“Karen’s reputation, experience and leadership skills make her the perfect match for her new role,” says Armand D’Alfonso, president of New York State for Howard Hanna. “She has spent her career sharing her expertise with those around her, and we look forward to how she can strengthen the Howard Hanna brand throughout New York.
“Al has a long history of commitment to his team, and we’re thrilled to have him in this new role,” D’Alfonso says. “He is a driven real estate professional who is results-oriented and will bring his unique drive and local experience to his new position as senior vice president of the Eastern District.”
Howard Hanna acquired Nothnagle Realtors and RealtyUSA, two leaders in the New York region, in 2017. Leonardi began at Howard Hanna in 2008 as vice president of Corporate and Consumer Affairs, and was instrumental in the rebrand of Nothnagle Realtors and RealtyUSA. Prior, she was CEO of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors® (GRAR). Picchi began in 2001 as vice president and regional manager of RealtyUSA, which he continued on as after the Howard Hanna transaction. He oversaw the Capital Region, which in 2017 closed $1.2 billion in sales volume.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited to use my previous real estate experience in this new role,” says Leonardi. “I plan to continue the focus on growing our business and profitability in the Western Region of New York while ensuring our position as market leader by giving our sales team the best marketing and support in the industry.”
“I’m looking forward to expanding my role in the Eastern half of New York State while continuing as regional manager in the Capital Region and helping the region in its trajectory of growth,” says Picchi. “Working with the regional managers and their teams in Central New York and the Southern Tier offers all three regions an excellent opportunity. I’m looking forward to collaborating on best practices and sharing ideas focused on business growth and customer satisfaction in 2018 and beyond.”
