The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) has elected David Acosta as 2019 national president and Sara Rodriguez as 2019 national president-elect. Both Acosta and Rodriguez will be formally installed at the 2019 NAHREP Housing Policy & Hispanic Lending Conference, held April 8-10 in Washington, D.C.
Acosta, broker associate at Keller Williams Realty, David Acosta Real Estate Group in Los Angeles, Calif., has been on the Board of Directors of NAHREP since 2016, and was the founding president of the association’s El Paso, Texas, chapter. He has been consistently named one of NAHREP’s Top 250 Latino Agents. As national president, Acosta will also be chairman of NAHREP’s National Board of Directors.
“David Acosta is one of the most driven and charismatic leaders we have,” says Daisy Lopez-Cid, NAHREP’s 2018 national president. “His track record of success and exceptional communication skills will put him among the most effective leaders in the industry.”
Rodriguez, CEO/owner of Titan Title, LLC and a partner at Mendez Rodriguez, PLC in Fairfax, Va., has been on the Corporate Board of Governors of NAHREP, and was the 2016 president of the association’s Metro D.C. chapter. She has taught Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation-approved courses in both English and Spanish since 2005, and also teaches continuing legal education (CLE) for the National Business Institute in Virginia. As president-elect, Rodriguez will be NAHREP’s primary representative at industry events.
“Sara Rodriguez is a successful business owner who has already set a new standard for tenacity and passion,” says Gary Acosta, CEO and co-founder of NAHREP. “Her ability to inspire and execute at the highest levels ensures she will be among the most effective housing leaders in the country.”
